By far the best sushi in town, and the friendliest staff. I have always loved Sakura, but tonight really was amazing. I called 15 minutes before they closed praying I'd still be ok to order, she took my order kindly, and when I got there (10 minutes later) they had my order ready with a smile and a free magnet/bottle opener. I have never felt like a nuisance in this restaurant and their food is always top notch!
Great food and ambience. Presentation of meals stunning. Short waiting times. Staff seemed a little run off their feet.
I've given this place a few tries and never had good luck I'm sorry to say. The atmosphere is nice but I've not had luck with fresh sushi. When I was there last week my husband and I pulled all the seaweed out because it was old and chewy and the waitress noticed and said she would tell management but they didn't take any steps to accommodate or compensate.
Absolutely delicious!! Very large selection of rolls and a great variety of other items if Sushi isn't necessarily your thing. Servers are professional and efficient, just be sure to check for peak times before you go! When they're busy, they are BUSY!!! Personal go to place when I'm treating myself lol!
Have been to Sakura twice now while visiting family in Cranbrook and both times I have been delighted. We typically order 4-5 rolls and share and the selection they have is awesome! The mixed tempura was also really great the last time we had it. We also ordered a "dessert sushi" for the first time (it was mango banana) and it was so good we had to order a second one. Service has been great both times as well. Will definitely try to go back next time we are in town.
